  18. admits the likelihood of problems between 8n1 and ppp.  I tried it, got some
  19. very strange crashes and went back... some people swear NOEOFMODE is the issue
  20. but I wonder.  I use Artser, pretty stable, but only marginally better than
  21. serial.device.
